My husband has just tried to update his iPad Air 2 to ios11 and during update everything has frozen! His ipad air 2 is unworkable with a black screen saying it is updating showing the white apple and part white line. He made sure he was connected to wifi and he had full battery, cleared and closed all apps so none were working. He has tried 3 times to reboot but no change.

Actually never noticed it on Horrible now. My 7 has never exhibited static calls. Might be a carrier issue. Battery life has been the worst with iOS Does this fix crackling and terrible call quality on iPhone 7 too? That has been a long problem. I get crackling call audio periodically on my iPhone 7 Plus. Aside from the horrible call ability and not having a headphone jack which is the most annoying and inconvenient thing for a phone to require dongles to connect to audio, I like the iPhone 7 Plus enough and see no reason to get an 8 which is really barely a 7s.
Just my 2cents. I sure hope this update fixes it. What carrier are you using? I had my 6sPlus on T-Mobile for quite some time and it was stellar with sound quality. Superb actually. I switched to Verizon and the sound quality of calls has dropped rather significantly.
