No damage so far. Therefore that is in line with the video I watched that explained it's pretty much impossible to damage the vram from overheating unless you mod it or its throttling failsafe feature dies. You can damage it through too high overclocks.
Overclock will damage your vram before the temp ever does. I can game with my settings for instance just not on intensive games like battlefield that's a good sign it's okay for mining if I can play a mid range game fine on it with no artifacts or crashes.

You could have just answered no. It's in microns technical sheet. Read it and if you cannot find it. I can find it for you for a fee. I'm not going to waste my time spoon feeding someone who hasn't read the technical sheet but seen the headline figure on their website.

I found the technical sheet straight away. I was unaware Micron made it available in the public domain. For the measurement conditions, refer to the JESD standard. The ram can only be damaged through safety features failing, modification or stupidly high overclocks.
Your overclock will kill it before temperature ever does. The temperature is not an issue which what I said all along and it's in the micron technical sheet. I wonder who can run theirs below c which also causes damage. Seems to have gone quiet after proof from microns official technical sheet has been provided.
Like I said before padding isn't needed unless you are being throttled and you shouldn't be at stock clocks in majority of cases. It runs hot. So what? It's designed to. It isn't needed in majority of cases. Mining isn't what these cards were designed for and exposes the design flaws and having so much hot running ram on either side of the board feeding heat into each other.
Especially when overclocked so high was never a great design. Have it on one side and have air flow across the whole of the ram not just half.
